Location: Kansas City; MO

Pay Rate: Negotiable

Front-End Web Engineer- Virgin Mobile USA

Position Summary

"Front-End Web Engineers will develop HTML, CSS and JavaScript code for the soon-to-be-launched, extremely user-friendly new web features for Virgin Mobile. They will 

ensure high quality code, implement UX and UI patterns and help build a front-end pattern library. 

• Help drive front-end development efforts and deliver quality front-end code and implementation of UX and UI

• Integrate the Virgin Mobile website with third-party systems

• Strive for code quality, reuse, extensibility and best practices. 

• Develop in a cooperative work environment that includes straight-up communication across teams (designers, engineering, marketing, operations, etc.).

• Work in a scrum-based Agile environment

• Implement UX designs in performant, usable and accessible patterns

Preferred Qualifications

• A solid understanding of design principles

• Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience.

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript

• Experience with CSS, HTML standards/accessibility and how to write fast-loading, high-quality markup

• Proficiency working with JSON APIs and SaaS 

• Understanding of how to work in a scrum-based Agile environment

• Understanding of design principles and a strong belief in the value of end-user functionality and easy-to-use interface design

• Relentless desire to get the details just right and on deadline, with a focus on business outcomes

• Knows how to implement UX designs in performant, usable and accessible patterns as well as how to deliver quality front-end code and implementation of UX and UI

• Works daily with designers and back-end engineers and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
