Job Description:

 

• This is within our Platforms team for Consumer Electronics
• The platforms  team are building a platform for new services
• This platform could power mobile applications and our devices will leverage it
• Do not want huge monolithic application experience.
• Enterprise functions (SAP, ERP, Oracle, etc) are NOT the right fit
• Must have strong scripting experience as there will be a coding challenge which is meant to flesh out that experience as well as determine a candidate's problem solving skills
• Python and Java are good examples
• Must have Linux experience within the last 4 years of their career.  MS Azure not a fit
• AWS experience is a must.
• Key words to look for are Microservices, Linux, Python, Java, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), AWS
• Example of what they are looking for and asking candidates: Did you build the services that powered the mobile app.
• Candidates need to be prepared to talk about the applications they've used
• Companies that could be good to pull from: Vericode, Adobe, IBM, Fitbit, Wayfair, Trip Advisor, Kayak, etc.

Why they were brought on board for this project(s)

Size of group on each project

What applications they worked on

What was their contribution and results

What challenges did you encounter and how did you overcome these challenges?
