Position: Jr. DevOPS Engineer
Client: AZ Department of Education
Interview: IN PERSON (MUST BE LOCAL! No Exception)
Location: Phoenix, AZ

The DevOPS Engineer will work within a team responsible for effective provisioning, installation/
Key Responsibilities:
• System monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning in Development, QA and production environments
• Perform application and database deployments to QA and production environments
• Team Foundation Server administration
• Design and develop custom deployment templates in team foundation server to implement continuous integration.
• Working closely with development teams in resolving their code build issues.
• Application of common system administration tools and tasks based on Windows server architectures
• Apply programming/scripting knowledge in latest technologies contributing to operational efficiencies.
• Leverage scripting and programming skills to develop custom tool integrations
• Possess excellent problem solving skills with an emphasis on continuous improvement
• Work with Operations, Development, DBA, QA and other teams to achieve high quality release management
• Clearly write technical specifications and effectively communicate across teams and roles
• Apply knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, highly available and responsive service
• Availability to work extended hours when needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
• 3+ years of technical expertise, primarily in, but not limited to .NET
• 3+ years of experience in Windows PowerShell
• 3+ years of experience in systems integration within a .NET environment
• Experience in Windows Server stack administration.
• Experience in building and deploying large-scale .NET web applications
• Experience in administering source control systems (TFS) and branching policies
• Experience in administering System Center Service Manager (SCSM)
• Experience with highly available / responsive systems
• Knowledgeable in common SCM practices, such as branching and code merges
• Experience with Report Builder to design custom reports from SQL Queries/Cubes
• Experience with all standard SQL Server database tools and the ability to become proficient with various third-party tools (LiteSpeed, Embarcadero and Red Gate compare utilities)
• Ability to work within a Team with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
