JOB Description:
Responsibilities:
· Maintain a clear understanding of the modules in JD Edwards. Be prepared to offer utilization of functionality from standard programs first with necessary setup to meet business requirements.
· Troubleshoot issues that are of technical nature reported by users through helpdesk tickets or other mediums.
Responsible for the analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation of objects while adhering to departmental standard.
Create new or modify existing programs/ reports etc. in any of the modules (Finance/Manufacturing/Order Management/Procurement/Supply chain and EDI) of JD Edwards World 9.3.
· Where development is required, matching code specifications to meet the format and standards of all JDE programs is required.
· Translates business requirements into a technical design, code and test logic, and prepare them for production adhering to known departmental standards.
· Adhere to SDLC approach and SOX standards.
· Ensure effective communication within the team as well as communication with customers, management, and other Information Services personnel.
· Ability to learn new technologies.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
· Bachelor's Degree in MIS or related field or foreign equivalent with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in JD Edwards, AS/400 iSeries, out of which 5 continuous years should be in US.
· Candidate should have experience in technical design, development, maintenance of JD Edwards World soft A9.3.
· Knowledge of DB2 relational database management system and JDE World tables.
· Experience and skills in RPG 400, RPG ILE, CL programming languages.
· Experience and understanding of JDE World Technical Foundation: DREAM writer, World Writer, system codes, data dictionary, SVR.
· Independently solve complex problems, assist the support team with issues, and troubleshoot bugs. Technically inclined to learn other technologies to meet the needs of assignments.
