Job title   :    DevOps/ Linux Administrator

Job type  :    12 Months Contract

Location  :    Minneapolis, MN (Local Only Required)

• This project is to help client's department build out and manage a container platform based on Kubernetes in both the Cloud and Data Center.

• Client's Infrastructure Operations is comprised of multiple areas of focus: Cloud, Data Center, NoSQL, Container Platform, and Logging Platform (Splunk/ELK).

• The team focuses on managing all infrastructure for the client's website environment. We focus on agile operations with a Dev/Ops culture. You will have the ability to work at large web scale to support a multi-billion dollar e-commerce site.

Must have skills 

• 4+ years' experience managing Linux environments

• 2+ years experience using automation tools, specifically Chef, Puppet or closely related

• 2+ years experience using container technologies—Apache Mesos, Kubernetes/OpenShift or similar is required in addition to Docker.

• Experienced working in an Agile or DevOps environment

• This position will be required to be on call 

Responsibilities/Deliverables

• Build production and non-production environments. Plan and migrate existing apps into containers

• Automation of monitoring, patching and scaling. Design & Implement Container Standards

• Design & Implement Container Monitoring Solutions. Design & Implement Container Logging Solutions

• Design & Implement Container Patching, Manage the container platform infrastructure. Assist end users as needed.
