Job Description

·         Our Client has an immediate need for a Backup specialist to help rollout our new backup solution (Commvault) 

The responsibilities will include: 

·         Configure, maintain the Commvault backup and archive platform. 

·         Create, Schedule and maintain backup jobs 

·         Document standards, knowledge base articles and provisioning procedures 

·         Collaborate with cross functional groups to implement backup solutions. 

·         Participate in the rollout of Commvault as Enterprise backup solution 

·         Migrate back jobs for IBM TSM to Commvault 

Skills/Knowledge Required: 

·         Good skills on one or several backup software including Commvault 

·         Good skills on Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 Operating Systems 

·         Knowledge of Virtualization Technologies (VMWare) 

·         Knowledge of one or more Linux based operating system 

·         Exchange, SQL, and Oracle experience with a backup mindset. 

·         Scripting Skills (VBScript, PowerShell) a plus 

·         Ability to work effectively with coworkers and clients at various levels 

·         Ability to triage scenarios and bring in additional subject matter experts for problem resolution 

·         Effective organizational, writing, and communication skills to assist with knowledge transfer to the Support organization 

·         Works in conjunction with clients to eliminate gaps and inconsistencies in the initial information system architectures to ensure that solution meets client needs
