Hadoop Data Architect

Required Skills
-Strong experience in end to end data management - data acquisition, data model, data storage, data access - with various tools and technologies
-Strong experience in data management and architecture in Teradata, and Hadoop tools and technologies. Hive, Pig, HBase, Sqoop, Kafka or other messaging tools - with hands on experience - a plus
-Strong experience in data management and architecture in RDBMS. SQL based tools - with hands on experience
-Strong experience in real time data acquisition in a data warehouse environment
-Strong Data modeling skills on large scale, high volume data, with experience in Power Designer or Erwin
-Thorough understanding of Dimensional modeling, 3NF/OLTP and experience in converting 3NF to Dimensional models, and models that support Hadoop
-Experience with continuous integration, test-driven/behavior-driven development, and agile development methodologies
Work Experience
-2 years of experience in managing data in Hadoop/Bigdata Platform
-10+ years of Data Management, Architecture, Modeling
-Experience managing and developing utilizing open source technologies and libraries including participation in the community
-Experience in data management for high performance on large Hadoop clusters
-Strong understanding of hadoop architecture, storage and IO subsystems, network and distributed systems
-Strong knowledge of scripting with shell scripting (Bash, PHP, PERL, Python,etc)
-Experience with versioning, change control and problem management
Desired Skills/ Experience:
-Knowledge of NoSQL platforms
-Data Quality, Data Cleansing
