Description:
Each staff member assigned to this project must have a background screening that is equivalent to a Level Two (2) screening standard.
This is a fixed fee/hourly based project which is inclusive of travel, lodging, per diem expenses and all other costs associated with the completion of the associated tasks.
Purpose:
This position will be responsible to Deploy the release of new technologies as well as designs, installs, configures, maintains and performs system integration testing of PC/server operating systems, related utilities and hardware; Responsible for trouble shooting server problems as reported by users; Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products; Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment; Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth, installs new servers and maintains the server infrastructure.
Project Scope and Deliverables:
The scope of work to be performed includes the following:
The chosen candidate shall be responsible for providing daily support to CLIENT's Windows Server and Active Directory environment. This includes working with Department and Agency for State Technology staff providing tier III support for the Department's customers. The chosen candidate shall report directly to the Server Section – Data Processing Manager.
The specific scope of work includes:
· Develop and maintain processes that optimize Active Directory performance.
· Analyzing server performance to identify resource contention and recommending changes or upgrades as needed to ensure optimization.
· Perform Active Directory and MS Exchange management activities.
· Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation.
· Work with Data Center staff, OIT and users to perform server installations, upgrades and configuration changes.
· Inventory, document, install and maintain COTS applications on servers and assist users with access.
· Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server issues with minimal impact on users.
· Write PowerShell scripts to be used to monitor Server properties, perform Active Directory and MS Exchange management activities.
· Administer Server security as needed for OIT staff and users.
· Researches and recommends appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements.
· Provides recommendations for possible process improvements within the CLIENT Server team.
· Develops schedules for the development and implementation of specific software systems.
· Develops system test plans to ensure that software meets design criteria.
MANDATORY Technical/Business Skill Set Requirements (must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks)
Our Client is seeking one full-time, on-site, Systems Administrator throughout the Contract duration of this RFQ. The position and associated skills are described below and must be verifiable in the candidate's resume:
· Minimum of 5 years Windows Server administration experience with 3 or more years administering Windows 2008 & 2012.
· Minimum of 5 years Active Directory & DNS administration experience in an enterprise environment with 1000 or more users.
· Experience with writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts.
· Experience working in a virtual server environment
· Experience installing, maintaining and supporting 3rd party applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
· 3+ years of experience administering Server 2008/2012 Active Directory Domain Services.
· Experience with Exchange Server Administration
· Experience with Office 365 administration.
· Experience preparing status reports and providing management briefings.
