Software Developer to join our team!
Client culture offers a unique working environment that is challenging AND empowering. We're seeking an experienced Software Developer to join an established team. The ideal candidate will be a flexible and analytical programmer comfortable working with legacy software. The Software Developer will operate under an Agile framework with a fast-paced team in order to consistently meet stretch goals. Please consider the responsibilities and qualifications noted below to determine if your skillset aligns with the position requirements!
Responsibilities
· Review, diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain legacy software
Qualifications
· Bachelor's in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
· 5+ years professional experience in commercial or web-scale system software development and delivery
· Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving abilities
· Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
· Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development
· Experience in SQL data modelling and operations
· Proficiency in Java and related framework(s), e.g. Spring
· Proficiency in another modern programming language/framework such as C++, C#, or node.js/JavaScript
· Understanding of operating system fundamentals (Linux or Windows)
· Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms
· Understanding of Web-based and service-based interfaces and interface design
· Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
· Experience in distributed version control (preferably Git) and code review processes
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including producing and reviewing technical design documents
· Experience building and operating scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems
· Understanding of storage performance challenges and their solutions
· Knowledge of network, distributed, asynchronous, and concurrent programming
· Familiar with building secure software using modern security principles
