Job Description:
Experience: Four plus years of experience./
Education: Four year college degree or equivalent study in the area of business process design
Description of skills and knowledge include:
· This is a professional level position which may require coordination of programming activities being conducted by the team
· Confers with other business and technical personnel to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing.
· Leverages excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop new business process and programming solutions as directed by business and technical stakeholders.
· Utilize deep modeling, design and coding skills.
· Analyze and design enhancements, development programs, and/or required fixes to production problems.
· Design applications to functional and technical programming standards.
· Gather and interpret user requirements into design specifications.
· Develop system specifications and interfaces
· Determine time estimates and schedules for work.
· Code enhancement and development programs and/or required fixes to production problems using the functional and technical programming standards.
· Test enhancement and development programs.
· Structured code reviews / walkthroughs.
· Advises client or department heads on alternate methods of solving need or problem, or recommends specific solution.
· Create and provide content for operational documentation to Technical Writers.
· Utilize configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an application.
· Provides documentation according to agency standards
Specific Skills Required
To support the Application Development Web/Client development requirements. This resource will be 100% dedicated to providing support for Windows and browser based application needs for DHW businesses.
Scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Analysis, design, programming, testing, and training. This person will have experience in ASP.Net C# coding standards and have experience with the associated design principles. Experience developing applications with current versions of MVC.
Expected Deliverables: Ability to decipher and write complex SQL and/or C# code. Experience in .Net coding standards and practices. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and work with tight timelines. The resource will deliver production-ready code that meets established project standards and provides the functionality requested by the product owner and project managers while working within an Agile development process.
Additionally, this person will be required to have a proven level of expertise with HTML and Java Scripting.
Highly qualified candidates will posses:
Working knowledge of a modern Vital Records and Health Statistics system is a big plus.
Working knowledge of a modern SACWIS system for Child Protection, Adoption, Foster Care Licensing, Interstate Compact and Indian Child Welfare.
Experience working with government agencies would be advantageous.
