Linux Engineer

Cincinnati, OH (LOCALS)

DIMENSIONS:

Will work across HQ and Regional offices to provide world-class customer service to all users of Linux, Storage and Backup systems, comprising: 

• RHEL / CentOS
• Oracle Enterprise Linux
• Fedora
• Ubuntu
• Cisco FC SAN
• EMC VMAX
• EMC Isilon

 

Essential

• Working expert knowledge of server infrastructure and administration for Linux kernels
• Multidimensional application of knowledge from CPU through FC or IP network, to a storage array and back. 
• Hybrid array or enterprise array experience
• HP's Data Protector or other enterprise backup software
• Demonstrable passion for learning new technologies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

 

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Essential 

A minimum of 5 years commercial IT technical support experience working successfully in a large scale and complex service management environment

• Demonstrable knowledge of support systems and processes coupled with strong analytical skills
• Previous experience in providing excellent customer service to customers at a variety of levels
