| Minimum Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math or equivalent work experience · 5-7 years of work experience in an Information Technology (IT) environment · 1-2 years of experience in Visual Studio 2010 or later, with a focus on C# · 1-2 years of experience in hardware and software installation and configuration · 1-2 years of experience working in a production environment; maintaining configuring, and restoring resources on a real-time basis in a production environment. · 1-2 years of experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite 2010 or later, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and OneNote · Has knowledge and skills for scripting in MS SQL, PL/SQL, and Windows · OS configuration and support experience with Windows 7, Windows NT, Microsoft Server 2008 R2
Desired Qualifications · IT development and support in a Gas and Electric utility · Experience working with customizable applications such as Bentley APM/EXP, with high levels of configuration and with internal customization capabilities · Experience managing SharePoint sites; creating and updating SharePoint folders, and managing user security within a SharePoint site · Knowledge in configuration of services in a server environment, such as IIS Responsibilities · Provides support for office and field personnel using the Bentley APM (CBM) solution; this platform is used to collect data during the inspection of client's substation and underground network transformer facilities. · Displays comfort working with clients at different levels, including field personnel (electricians), supervisors, managers, and business stakeholders. · Maintains an open line of communication, keeping the client and IT team aware of the scope, timeline, and resolution for requests and inquiries. · Demonstrates excellent customer relations and a "customer first" focus in providing updates and timely responses. · Demonstrates the ability to look at a business process and determine how the process interacts with the applications and how to leverage the technology to improve the process. · Has the ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues, including data movement, device communications, and network connectivity. · Shows experience working with project delivery teams to perform functions such as server configuration, mobile device configuration, user configurations, and product deployment. · Has a strong attention to detail and is comfortable working in an application support environment. · Leverages experience in desktop application support, server operations, and mobile field operations for supporting clients. · Exhibits expertise in Windows operating systems, such as Windows 7, XP, and Windows Server 2008 R2. · Demonstrates software development skills using the Visual Studio product suite, with a focus on C#. · Has experience working with customizable third party applications, such as Bentley's APM/EXP product. Responsibilities · Working with technology consumers; requires excellent customer communication skills · Interacting with clients at different levels, including field personnel (electricians), supervisors, managers, and business stakeholders · Providing consultation on business processes and approach to best practices · Reviewing business processes and determine how they interact with application functionality · Analyzing and troubleshooting issues, including data movement, device communications, and network connectivity · Managing configuration defects and providing quick resolution; addressing performance issues, etc. · Creating applets, SQL scripts, logging, and report collection to better maintain systems, improve efficiency, provide visibility into performance or process related issues, or to provide visibility into performance or process improvements. · Supporting release activities; working with the project manager to ensure smooth integration between various modules, as well as with other enterprise applications like SAP and Oracle, other in-house systems such as Client DDM, Quality Center, etc. · Working with the team to assist in performing functions like server configuration, device configuration and assignment, and user authorization · Creating and updating support documents for new functionality, enhancements, changes and bug fixes · Assisting business clients with system adoption
