Job Title – SQL Database Admin/Architect

Location – Columbia, SC

Duration – 1 Year

 

 

15 OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGIES

DATABASE is MS SQL Server.

Manages and maintains all production and non-production databases. Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration. Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

ASSESS EXISTING SCJD TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS, DEVELOP TECHNOLOGY ACTION PLANS, AND WORK WITH SCJD IT TO IMPLEMENT THE ACTION PLANS.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

This senior expert level position requires experience with planning, managing, and troubleshooting projects and systems that utilize different database structures and technologies within an enterprise environment. Able to work on complex technology and operational tasks and issues with both technical and non-technical staff. Able to utilize project management and technology systems life cycle methodologies. Able to conduct assessments, determine options, and develop action plans to integrate numerous different applications and technology systems to meet operational requirements. Able to multi-task and communicate effectively both in written and verbal forms.
