Bourntec is looking for Senior Mainframe Programmer to join one of our client team in Miami, FL.

 

Role: System Software Programmer
Location: Miami, FL
Duration: 1+ Month

Job ID: SOF # 973-561-10-1

Description of Job: The contractor will be assisting with converting hundreds of EZTrieve programs from a legacy version to a newer version compatible with a new mainframe operating system. In addition, he/she will assist with functional and code-based testing of hundreds of batch and online COBOL programs which have already been compiled, but are untested on the new OS.

Qualifications:
•             Have more than 10 years' experience working on mainframe systems

•             M-DCPS mainframe experience is preferred

•             Proficient with COBOL, EZTrieve, JCL

•             Experience in working with mass conversions of programs such as with Y2K or other major mainframe OS upgrades

•             Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

•             Must be able to participate in a team environment and communicate effectively.

•             Ability to communicate in oral and written form effectively.

•             Ability to effectively communication functional and technical expertise to a variety of business and technical partners.
