About Project Rewire The Project will create cost efficiencies through the consolidation of Yahoo's data center footprint, including the migration of key Yahoo! services without interruption. Responsibilities can include, but not limited to, the following: production support of existing infrastructure, creation of tools/automation to support project, creation and execution of consolidation plan.
Requirements:
4+ years MySQL DBA (this must be mostly InnoDB-based experience),
2+ years leading MySQL operations on Linux for a large product or a company.
Must have experience with Percona XtraDB?. Must have good shell scripting / programming skills.
Desired: Percona XtraBackup?.
Ability to handle issues efficiently on 24 x7 production environments with minimal supervision.
He/She should coordinate and communicate with Engg and SE & O teams to support database operations for Development and Production environments.
Mandatory Skills:
1. Routine DBA tasks like alters, backups, DDL and performance review.
2. Production support experience in a large scale production MySQL infrastructure (24 x 7 environment)
3. 4+ years MySQL DBA (this must be mostly InnoDB-based experience)
4. Coding experience in Bash / Python
5. Must have experience with Percona XtraDB?
6. MySQL Installation/Upgrade/Migration
Preferable Job Qualifications Percona XtraBackup?
