Technical Architect || Albany, NY

 

Position: Technical Architect

Location: Albany, NY (prefer local candidates)

Length: 6 months contract to hire

 

Responsibilities:

• Participate with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives
• Document technical strategies to facilitate operational business needs
• Assess systems requirements and design against best practices, technology advances, industry standards, and business needs. Provide direction on implementing feasible, cost-effective solutions to the overall system architecture and design to meet these needs
• Work closely with Health Services Operations management and staff, Operations Systems' technical engineers, and process engineers to provide guidance and ensure adequate design for meeting Health Services' business objectives and strategy
• Review systems functionality, performance, and reliability to determine fit with business needs. Identify gaps and propose strategic technical solutions to implement solutions
• Serve as the key technical point of contact in developing the technical solutions in response to Request for Proposals, Change Requests, and business needs
• Review federal, state, and company policies to determine applicability to systems functionality, design, and operation. Develop strategies to fulfill requirements and assess effectiveness of implementation
• Collaborate and coordinate with appropriate internal and external groups to ensure the confidentiality and security of all corporate information
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
• Master's degree preferred
• 10 + years of experience with system lifecycle development and integration of complex health information technology solutions using J2EE and/or .Net technologies required
• At least five (5) years experience as software architect required
• Knowledge and experience in developing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions, web services, and emerging technologies such as cloud computing and vitalization
• Experience with developing micro services based architecture in cloud based environments
• Experience with developing programming/scripting languages:  Java/JEE, C#Net, JavaScript frameworks (NodeJS, Angular), Web Services
• Experience with Agile/continuous integration/DevOps
• Demonstrated success serving as key point of contact for design of complex information technology solutions
• Proven ability to develop and present technical white papers and healthcare solutions presentations
• Must be able to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of existing business processes based on in-depth industry knowledge of organizational and client objectives
• Ability to work as a team, as well as individually
• Ability to successfully manage many complex tasks simultaneously
