Position : QA Automation tester with Networking and streaming exp. 

Location : EL SEGUNDO, CA

Duration : 3 + years contract.

Max rate : $ 35/hr on C2C all inc. 

Job Skills 

5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance on web and mobile platforms. 

HTML, JavaScript, and web page debugging using Firebug or Developer Tools 

Network traffic debugging using Fiddler, Charles, or Wireshark. 

Familiar with streaming media workflow – Encoding, transcoding, containers, delivery, activation and playback. 

Test case creation based on existing specs and requirements. • Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle. 

Self-starter and problem solver using the tools and methods on hand. 

Have worked in a team using Agile methodology. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

1) Review requirements and writing, updating test cases, troubleshooting defects and analyzing test results. 

2) Execute test cases, logging defects, triaging defects and testing multiple mobile devices. Reporting status to Test lead and Test Mgr. 

3) Act as sub-lead for specific functional areas of a project or multiple concurrent projects. 

4) Participate in test planning and in testing activities on multiple devices for multiple projects. 

5) Testing - review requirements, analyzing requirements, determining testing needs, writing and reviewing test cases, running test cases, troubleshooting, logging and regressing defects and analyzing test results; point of escalation for team members and will work closely with project stakeholders.
