Role: Hadoop Developer (Java Expert)
Location: Foster City, CA (Client interview F2F only)
Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)
1. Expert Java programming experience.
2. Experience with ETL development using Java.
3. Writing efficient Java programs for data crunching using traditional MapReduce, Cascade and Crunch frameworks. 5+ years of experience
4. Hive schema design, performance tuning and optimization techniques of Hive QL to process big data from heterogeneous sources like RDBMS, Weblogs etc..
5. Hadoop Cluster setup and configuration familiarity
6. In depth understanding of HDFS, Hive, HBase, SQOOP technologies and experience with developing ETL using these technologies.
7. Workflow automation using Oozie, CA-ESP and other scheduling frameworks is a plus
8. In depth understanding and expertise in Data Warehouse, OLAP design and development
9. Experience in KYLIN and other OLAP cubing frameworks in big data space is a definite plus
10. Good to have experience in developing ETL framework with Talend, or any ETL tools.
The stress is on Java programming expert level skills.
