Hadoop Developer with Shiny and R Studio
Wilmington DE
6 month contract with possible extension

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE SHINY EXPERIENCE.

Overview:
Work closely with Team Manager, Project Managers and other team members to develop customized custom reporting, issue-specific consulting, and high-end analytic solution using internal and third-party data. Our work is quantitative, fast paced and challenging.

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct programming, perform data manipulations, perform significance testing and produce various reports and using RStudio, Shiny, and SQL
• Design program to achieve specific analytic objective to inform business decisions and insights.
• Working with relational database
• Recent "hands-on" experience must include RStudio and Shiny
• Multi-tasking on different projects
• Extract and prepare data from multiple databases
• Develop customized reports

Experience and Skills:

• Hadoop
• Shiny
• R Studio or R development experience
• Impala
• Linux (Red Hat)
• AWS experience
• APT (the current application they are migrating from)
• Cloudera Hadoop stack
• Excellent R skills in RStudio, Shiny, SQL, SAS, Python, Mathematica, Matlab, Octave, C++, Java
• BA/BS is required with 2 years prior SAS working experience, or MS/MA without working experience
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development process, as gained through a minimum of two years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
• Proven data manipulation skills (SQL applied to Oracle and DB2 databases, scripting languages, Big Data related technologies)
• Fluency in SAS and R
• Strong experience with Windows and Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytic skills, Must be detail oriented
• Ability to handle multiple projects with aggressive timelines, Strong work ethic and self-motivated team player, Good communication skills, organization and planning ability
• Capable of using Windows, MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point
• Experience with retrospective data sources and analysis
• Desire to work with 'big data'
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think strategically and objectively
• Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills, with ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage projects as well as work independently
