Role: Netapp Storage Consultant

Location: Fremont, CA

Duration: 6 to 12 Months

 

Required Skills:

·         At least 9+ years' experience in Storage technology Netapp 7-mode and C-mode and Storage migration.

·         Good experience in Migration process.

·         Ability to debug and troubleshoot issue related to  7-mode to C-mode migration.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Target environment design , build , DR setup, Snap mirror, Snap vault, backup integration, network integration

·         Network performance issues for data migration 3.Storage administration

·         Storage patching/upgrades, capacity management

·         Planning & Design  the NetApp cluster

·         Deployment of the NetApp cluster.

·         Installing the licenses of the cluster.

·         Prechecks for the migration

·         Migrating data using NetApp Snap mirror and other third party mechanism

·         Setting up Snap mirror sessions.

·         Snapvault configuration

·         Setting up the performance monitoring tools from NetApp

·         Firmware up-gradation.

·         ONTAP up gradations if any

·         Monitoring the cluster nodes

·         Monitoring the Snap mirror & health of the cluster nodes.

·         NFS & CIFS shares data  collection (count & segregation depending upon the application)

·         Continuous monitoring of the migration

·         Mounting & sharing the NFS & CIFS shares to the clients once the migration is done.

·         Monitoring the physical & logical components of the cluster.

·         Volume creation, snapshot creation.

·         Snap-mirror session monitoring.
