Project:
Our client is a Fortune 100 organization in the Financial Services industry. They are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer I candidate. They ideally are looking for someone with experience supporting JBOSS servers as well as JAVA experience. This team is a production support team that supports a suite of applications. Most of what they work on are JAVA Applications that are on JBOSS servers.
Job Responsibilities
· Deliver technical solutions to problems identified and architectural recommendations along with process conformance for incident, problem, change management/quality, and compliance
· Provide technical leadership to the support teams by providing technical guidance, reporting on trends, issues, achievements, and escalating where appropriate
· Lead day-to-day operations (24/7) for Client's Critical Suit Portfolio with a wide range of mainframe and distributed applications
· Ensure that incidents and problems are classified, prioritized, and remedied
· Ensure root cause analysis is done and that proactive/preventative measures are taken to avoid a reoccurrence
· Work with other technology teams on strategic initiatives that influence the technical direction for the supporting platform
· Enable service restoration activities, including availability to join restoration bridge calls during off-hours
· Work closely with other technology groups to mitigate, resolve, and close issues
· Drive and monitor the resolution of defects by development teams within the warranty period
· Perform as the initial and central point of contact for business partners/vendors
· Provide communications for business consumption on outages
· Manage relationships with outside vendors, development and business partners to ensure SO targets and SLAs are met.
Required
Skills/Qualifications:
· 7+ years of Practical experience and/or deep knowledge of the following technologies and platforms
o J2EE/JBOSS technologies (interactive, web services, database , midrange, analytics, reporting, etc.) –
o Enterprise Monitoring Techniques and Practices - ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Splunk, Nimsoft
o REST API Design - Design Patterns - Linux, Unix Shell Scripting - Web application development techniques
o HA Design/Architecture principles
o Working in a DevOps Culture
Note: We are working with Tier-1 vendor requirement.
