Job Description:
OVERVIEW:
We are seeing a Developer who must have a deep understanding of graphic design, page layouts, JavaScript, SASS, and responsive design principals, and keeps on top of emerging technologies. This developer is capable of, and passionate about creating kick a** websites. This is a hands-on role in a team environment. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to communicate effectively in various technical and creative environments are a must. Our developer delivers clean code and quality work while adhering to strict coding standards. We are looking for a leader that will contribute to growth of the team. Understanding of Back End frameworks is required.
DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leading the team in front-end development technologies.
• Building pages, layouts, and templates from design files for new sites.
• Adding and suggesting site features, updating and improving client's current websites.
• Coding front-end site features such as form validation, popup boxes, input dialogs. Dynamically generate and manipulate page content.
• Assist team in determining work difficulty and project / task time estimates.
• Designing rich media advertisements and stand-alone assets in HTML5.
• Implement, document, enforce, and maintain code specifications, coding standards, and best practices for the development team.
• Assisting team members in growing and developing their abilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. You have a BS degree in web design, multimedia design, computer science, or related field, or possess equivalent career experience.
2. You are very proficient in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, PHP, responsive designs, and graphic design products (Adobe CC).
3. Extensive experience in JavaScript is required
4. Strong understanding of cross browser compatibility.
5. You have the ability to integrate front end pages with backend languages; usually PHP and Ruby. i.e. create templates, make and handle ajax calls, etc.
6. You are excellent with React, Node.js and Angular.
7. You have a solid understanding of usability and user experience principals.
8. You can operate effectively as a member of the development team, contributing your expertise and providing advice for decision makers.
9. You meet expectations and deliverables on time while maintaining quality and taking great pride in your work. Effectively writing clean, well structured, and maintainable code.
10. You have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills effectively communicating and building positive working relationships.
11. Demonstrates strong creative skills as well as coding.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience with GIT source control.
2. Comfort at a *nix command line.
3. Asset compilers and managers like Assetic and Compass.
4. Frontend JS libraries such as Angular, Polymer, Backbone.
5. Experience coding WordPress and Drupal templates.
6. Experience with React, Angular and Nodejs.
7. Experience with Agile Scrum.
8. Experience using PHP MVC frameworks.
