LOCAL SQL Server DBA

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Description: Our Client, one of the leading educational organizations, is looking for SQL Server Database Administrator in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

• Perform a key leadership and mentoring role in the areas of advanced data techniques, including data modeling, data access, data integration, data visualization, text mining, data discovery, statistical methods, database design and implementation;
• Document analytic environments required for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data (Social Media Sites);
• Translate broader business initiatives into clear team objectives and concrete individual goals;
• PHASE1 - Migrate SAS data to SQL Server;
• PHASE1 - Resolve any data issues (cleansing, accuracy), Transformations, Error handling, Logging & Configurations;
• Apply data modeling techniques;
• Review and move programming objects into;
• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments;
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes;
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes;
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement;
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities and provide on-call support after hours for critical production systems;
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

 

Requirements include but are not limited to the following:

• Experience as a SQL Server DBA (5+ years)
• Experience with SQL Server 2008/2012 Database modeling
• Experience with SQL Troubleshooting (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, etc.);
• Experience with SQL queries/code;
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS);
• Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS);
• Experience with  SQL Stored Procedures;
• Experience with  SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS);
• Experience with  Team Foundation Server (version control);
• Experience with  Migration of SQL objects (Schemas, Databases, Tables, SSIS packages, SSRS, SSAS, etc.) from Test to Production QL Clusters;
• Experience with  SQL Server management (Health checks, alerts);
• Experience with documentation of SQL projects including all objects (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Stored Procedures, Schemas/Databases/Tables, etc.);
• Microsoft SQL Server 2012, Microsoft Database Administrator, Microsoft Solutions Expert (MCSE)/Business Intelligence/Data Platform certifications.
