I have an exciting new opportunity that I wanted to share with you and your network. Our top client, located in the Houston, TX. is currently seeking a NetWork Engineer resource to join their organization. I have included a complete job description below in case you or someone you know might be interested in learning more.
 
Role: NetWork Engineer
Location: Houston, TX (Need Local Candidates Only)
Duration: 6+ Months
Rate: $45/hr is the Max

 

Description:
Broad understanding of infrastructure hardware and software systems including network, compute, storage, and security for traditional data center hosted applications as well as virtual and private cloud solutions. Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of these technologies:

• Network/Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Load Balancers (F5)
• Computer Platforms; VMware, Hyper-V, x86, Microsoft Server 2008/2012
• Operating Systems; Windows, Linux/Unix
• Hardware; HP-C7000, HP blades
• Network; Cisco routing and switching
• Storage; SAN, NetApp
• Databases; Oracle, MS SQL, NoSQL (Mongo, CouchBase)
• Understanding of Network Technologies including Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Load Balancers
• Understanding of Storage Technologies including SAN, NAS, Tiered storage architectures
• Working knowledge and experience with application design, database design, data security.
• Experience in development or implementation of large scale critical infrastructure projects, as well as experience of designing and modeling complex commercial real-time and high availability systems.
• Ability to independently problem solve and be self-directed, having attention to details, and the ability to capture, organize and analyze information.
• Excellent knowledge of distributed computing technologies especially in the eCommerce/Internet space.
 Senior Level (greater than 8 yrs exp.)
