Position: Big Data Architect

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 6 months Contract

 

Job Details:

·         12+ years of related Information Technology experience.

·         3+ Hands-on years' experience working with Big Data/Hadoop Architecture

·         Experience in building and maintaining Hadoop cluster in a multi-tenant environment

·         Preferable work experience with IBM BigInsights / Hortonworks Hadoop distributions.

·         Proficient with HDFS, MR2, Hive, HBase, Sqoop, Oozie, BigSQL, Kafka and SQL.

·         Hands-on experience with "productionazing" Hadoop applications (e.g. administration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning)

·         In depth experience working on Azure cloud computing Infrastructure.

·         Experience with any of the following technologies (or similar) would be considered a plus:

·         NoSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, Tableau, Spark, Python, R, SPSS, SAS

·         Deep knowledge of search engines like Apache Lucene and Solr/Elasticsearch

·         Knowledge in data structures, modeling standards and machine learning frameworks is a plus.

·         Working experience with .Net, Web API, AngularJS either web application or backend systems development

·         Working experience on Linux scripting and Windows power shell scripting

·         Knowledge of any of Object oriented programming, Scripting languages is mandatory.

·         Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.

·         Excellent written, verbal, and documentation skills required. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to appropriately prioritize tasks as needed.
