My Client is looking for  Hadoop Administrator

Job Title      :      Hadoop Administrator

Location     :       Dover, NH
Duration     :       2+ Months (Chance of Extension)

 

 

Requirements:

Hadoop admins need general operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system's capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks.

Good Knowledge of Linux

Security

Configuration

Tuning

Troubleshooting

Monitoring

Familiarity with open source configuration management (Chef, for example)

Scripting like PERL/ BASH is important

Able to deploy Hadoop Cluster, add / remove nodes, figure out why a job is stuck or failing

Configure and tune cluster, monitoring critical parts of the cluster

Understand schedulers and configuration of it meet SLA and even backup process

Good understanding of Java

Excellent communication
