Job Title : Sr. Websphere Consultant
Location : Raleigh, NC
Duration : 12+ Months (Chance of Extension)
Job Description:
This is a client facing role to perform a leadership role in the migration of WebSphere applications currently running on AIX to a new Linux environment.
Must be an application/product architect able to lead technical teams as well as interact with client resources effectively.
Must have deep knowledge of IBM WebSphere product suite from a complete product perspective.
At least 6 years' experience in client facing roles
At least 4 years' experience leading successful IT projects.
This person will lead the application development team, review code, propose solutions to migration issues, and debug issues for application migrations from version 6 on AIX to version 8.5.5 on Linux.
IBM WebSphere Application development and troubleshooting skills required.
Strong experience in WebSphere Application Server, Webservices, WebSphere MQ/IIB, Java EE technologies from a development and deployment perspective.
This is NOT an Administrator position.
Must have prior technical consulting experience with these specific skills and knowledge.
Must have strong customer facing skills and be able to understand issues and communicate technical issues in a clear manner to management and stakeholders.
This position will require significant onsite customer presence.
Experience with JAX-RPC and JAX-WS for Web Services modernization effort, and BuildForge desired.
