Position: ITSM Project Manager

Location: Albany,  NY, 12226

Duration: 24 Months

 

Daily Work Tasks:

·         Staff will perform the full range of project management tasks as defined by PMI PMBOK and The NYS Project Management Guidebook, R2, such as, but not limited to:

·         Develop Business Case

·         Develop ROM Budgets

·         Develop ITIR

·         Facilitate Approval Process

·         Develop the project scope

·         Develop the project plan/WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)

·         Build the project team

·         Develop the schedule using MS Project

·         Maintain the schedule using MS project to track progress

·         Manage resources, manage issues, manage risks, manage changes through a formal change management process, manage user acceptance of deliverables

·         Facilitate meetings

·         Prepare status reports and give presentations to management

·         Raise issues with Executive Management or Project Steering committees and propose solutions

·         Ensure adherence to project management standards and methodologies.

 

Job Description:

·         84 months – managing multiple large, complex IT related projects. 

·         84 months - managing project execution and control, including maintaining project budgets, schedules, scope requirements, status reports, communication plans, and quality standards.

·         48 months - experience in facilitated elicitation and documentation of business requirements.

·         36 months - experience of post-certification project management work

·         24 months – experience developing and maintaining schedules in Microsoft Project.

·         24 months – using the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) tool Service Now.

·         24 months - Project Management experience leading projects with direct stakeholder involvement at state government director level and above.

·         Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) – include copy of certificate

·         Bachelor's Degree
