Job Title: Oracle DBA
Duration: 8+ months

Job Requirement :
- Serve as part of the Database Team in developing, implementing, and maintaining next generation database systems
- Provide Services in administration and performance monitoring of Database related systems
- Develop system administration standards and procedures to maintain consistent practices
- Support backup and recovery strategies
- Provide, assist and participate in the creative process to improving architectural designs and implement new architectures
- Expertise in delivering optimal efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Monitor and proactively support capacity planning and analysis
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and proactively tune databases and workloads
- Ability to work independently. Candidate must be a Self Starter and self motivated.
- Requires BS/BA degree in computer science or information systems or related field; 10 or more years of information
· Systems experience including 7 or more years of database administration experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Expert business, technical design and database administration knowledge required.
- A proven ability to translate knowledge of cutting edge technologies into solutions for the business.
- Strategic thinking and ability to prioritize tasks to meet the business needs required.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.
Technical skills & abilities:
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle 12c with RAC/Clusterware, DataGuard, OEM 12c/13c
- Strong working knowledge of Partitioning, Compression and Security options of Oracle
- Strong working knowledge of Unix
- Experience with supporting databases on Exadata highly desired
- Strong working knowledge of database installation, setup, creation, and maintenance processes
- Strong technical knowledge of database and application tuning
- Strong technical knowledge of Backup/Recovery, Disaster Recovery and High Availability techniques and implementations
- Strong technical knowledge in writing shell scripts and stored procedures used in support of database administration
- Experience administering Exadata storage, network and OS components a strong plus
- Linux and network administration a plus
- GoldenGate experience a plus
- Oracle on AIX/POWER experience a plus
