Job Title : (API) DevOps Engineer
Location : San Jose, CA (Need Local)
Duration : 3-6+Months Contract to hire

Looking for Green Card Holders and US Citizens
Notes:
previous experience with Cassandra/Hadoop would put the resume at the top of the stack
looking to build a Casandra/Hadoop platform, all open use for the data for cars to drive
will be joining a growing team
must have good communication skills
work well in a team and with others, and can hit the ground running
Responsibilities
Implement and deploy APIs and micro-services for backend components that provide both internal and vehicle-facing services.
Develop APIs for hybrid distributed systems using container and cloud technology with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and performance.
Work with geographically dispersed teams providing technical leadership.
Provide expert guidance about build and deployment tooling to multiple engineering teams.
Monitor and support your code components to rectify failures and performance bottlenecks.
Work with our security teams to implement appropriate security measures.
Qualifications
Hands-on DevOps engineer with a passion for RESTful API design and experience building services infrastructure at scale.
Experience working with container and web-scale technologies including, but no limited to: micro-services, REST, Python, Go, Java, Node.JS, Bash, Ruby.
Experience with virtual machine and container technologies like: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack VMware vSphere.
Solid background in implementing APIs for web services and fault-tolerant software components. Experience with swagger and implementing web-service gateways.
Ability to design non-traditional approaches to achieve technical goals. For example, comparing white-box hardware solutions with traditional branded systems.
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, data-driven, start-up environment.
Bachelors degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in the automotive industry is preferred, but not required.
