Position: Java Developer

Location: Jersey City NJ, Tampa FL & Dallas TX

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Required Skills:

• Software and language skills must include 5+ years' experience in Java as well as J2EE, STRUTS, JSP's.
• Experience with technologies such as JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Bootstrap, DataTables, CSS, HTML.
• Solid understanding of JSON and XML.
• Strong understanding of back end back end technologies.
• Experience developing RESTful Web Services.
• Experience with Eclipse or Rational Application Developer.
• 2+ years' experience with the following AWS services:
• EC2
• Elastic Beanstalk
• S3
• Data Pipeline
• CloudWatch
• DynamoDB
• RDS preferably Aurora
• Lambda
• AWS messaging a plus (Kinesis, SQS)
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with data modeling.
• Able to design and implement scalable software architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with event-based and message-driven distributed systems working with message brokers, including development of producers and consumers.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Junit.

 

• Familiar with different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Delivery.
• Experience with continuous integration tools, like GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, Maven.
• Knowledge of source code control management systems and configuration management (Git preferred). 

 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
