Role: BW on HANA / Business Objects Analyst

Location: Sacramento, CA

Duration: 9 Months 

 

Minimum Experience must be 10+ years

 

Local to California Candidates highly preferred

 

Mandatory Requirements

 

1.    5+ years of relevant work experience supporting SAP BW and Business Objects solutions (including Web Intelligence, Analysis Office, Lumira and Design Studio) in the areas of system/business analysis, data flow, data modeling, report and dashboard design, configuration, testing, documentation, training and implementation.

2.    Create training documentation and provide classroom, one-on-one, small group or online training for other SMUD staff.

3.    Experience working with Business Objects in conjunction with a SAP BW environment.

4.    Must have 5 or more years of SAP BW and/or Business Objects configuration with at least 1 year of experience in a BW on HANA environment.

5.    Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues with BI desktop client software.

6.    Excellent communications skills.

7.    Experience with Business Objects version 4.1 and/or 4.2.

 

Technical Requirements

 

1.           Gather end user requirements for business intelligence solutions and reports/dashboards.

2.           Understand techniques and practices for resolving complex technical issues SAP BW.

3.           Design, configure, test and implement BW and Business Objects solutions to support multiple business/functional areas.

4.           Develop and/or modify data flow processes and extract/transfer/load (ETL) processes Develop reports and dashboards using BW and Business Objects reporting/presentation/visualization tools (BEx Analyzer, Web Intelligence, Design Studio, Analysis for Office, Lumira).

5.           Develop, read and interpret plans, diagrams and functional/technical specifications.

6.           Compile and prepare technical, statistical and/or analytical reports and presentations.

7.           Analyze procedures/systems and develop/implement operational improvements.

8.           Express ideas/facts clearly and concisely to individual or groups.

9.           Communicate effectively orally and in writing internally/externally.

10.        Design, develop and deliver training material one-on-one, in small groups, and in classroom settings.

 

Desirable Qualifications

 

• Business Objects, BW, BW on HANA certifications
