Role:- Virtualization SME

Duration:- 6+ Months Contract

Location:-  Ashburn, VA

 

Position Summary

 

Responsible for providing support to systems and virtualization environment. This is a professional level position and requires strong execution and analytical abilities. This role works independently and receives minimal guidance.

 

Qualification:

• A minimum of 7+ years' experience enterprise management and support where overlying critical services must maintain high availability at all times

 

Responsibilities

• Expert in deploying, managing and maintaining large enterprise virtualization platforms including  VMware and HyperV
• Proficient in VMware and Hyper-V technologies
• Windows or Unix Systems Administration experience is a plus.
• Proficient in managing enterprise class hardware infrastructure such as
• Cisco  Blades, Enclosures, UCS,
• HP blades, HP enclosures, Virtual connect, HP SUM
• Dell Blades and Enclosures, Dell OME
• Proficient in troubleshooting in above mentioned infrastructure
• Strong technical analytical and troubleshooting skills, and possess an ability to explain technical concepts and provide guidance to staff.
• Scripting Knowledge
• Must have Strong Knowledge & experience in system monitoring techniques and tools supporting unattended operations.
• Strong system security awareness and knowledge in OS hardening.
• Ability to operate in complex, highly-secure, and highly-available, operations environments and interact with the technology domain experts required to maintain those environments
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Responsible for partnering with the Platform, Engineering and Delivery Teams to deliver seamless infrastructure support for all business lines
• Experience supporting a 24x7 Operational environment, requiring shift support
• Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
• Ability to coordinate activities within cross-divisional and cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments
• Strong understanding of process orientation, understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices
• Candidate must have demonstrated and be prepared to exhibit initiative and ownership of consistent delivery success
