Position: Demandware Lead Developer/Architect
Location: Hicksville, NY
Duration: 6 months (further extendable)
Tax Term : C2C and Full Time

Demandware Lead Developer / Architect
Opportunity Specific requirements: Strong, hands on Demandware lead developer who can work with the business to define the requirements and provide best practice recommendation. The candidate will be attending most strategy and all sprint/development cycle meetings with the leadership team and others to serve as expert/architect. They would have an integral part in helping to determine the best route to implement the strategy given by the digital leaders. Initial location will be Hicksville, NY. Demandware CIP certified would be a very significant plus.
Work Authorization: US National/GC, VSI will transfer H1, C2C
Travel Requirements: 100% at client site during the start of the project (2-3 weeks). 25% thereafter for major meetings and rollout.
Job Responsibilities (General Requirements):
- Design and develop solutions to software applications, and systems administration of ecommerce solutions, create software systems architecture and integrate software applications and software systems for ecommerce solutions using Demandware.
- Lead and mentor the team of developers on the Demandware Platform
- Communicate with clients to understand system requirements for enterprise ecommerce platforms;
- Develop project plans, schedules and budgets using MS Project;
- Document design specifications, installation procedure, and other system-related information;
- Understand and provide guidance on an eCommerce best practices.
- Standardize project development methodology for ecommerce solutions, including process, phase artifacts, coding conventions, design and programming guidelines;
- Understand HTML, CSS, Java Script and other related development technologies, performs various coding tasks, such as design, development and testing of Web front-end, back-end Web-based applications, and web services.
- Participated in at least 1 Demandware implementation
- Must have Demandware backend and front end development experience
- Demandware CIP certified
- Experience with integrating Demandware with third parties using existing cartridges or creating new ones.
- Strong software engineering concepts using AGILE, SCRUM and waterfall Model
