Capacity Engineer Lead | Saint Louis, MO

This role will work with System Analyst and Application Teams facilitating discussions to determine proper sizing of servers (CPU, Memory, Storage) for servers. 

 

·         This role is a lead role and will manage another contractor in this team who also performs these duties.

·         The person should have advance excel skills as data is being gathered and formulas use to calculate the variables to achieve the results. (VL Look up, etc)

·         Additional skills in SQL and SharePoint

·         Familiarity of Windows 2008 and Windows 2012 Server environments

·         What makes this more complex is that it is possible to have multiple applications on the same server

·         Understand both current and future growth needs (forecast growth so that additional CPU, Memory, etc can be purchased/budgeted)

·         It would be helpful to have firewall knowledge as well as experience deploying software across tiers (Web, Application, Database).

·         Ability to work and navigate in a large organization

·         Need to be a go-getter and speak up with technical opinions.
