client seeking a Linux Senior System Administrator / IT Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia (GA). Summary: As a Technical Webmaster you'll use your expertise to help the client make the most out of their IT investments. The role of the Technical Webmaster (TWM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) is to provide overall technical ownership/leadership for situations involving multiple IT support towers on a 24x7 basis. Essential Functions: * Drive Problem Determination progress to decrease recovery time for situations TWMs provides support primarily in the following areas: * Transition support, critical situation/incident leadership and provide infrastructure and process support Transition support activities includes: * Technical guidance to project managers, filling technical gaps in resources, ensuring appropriate resources are engaged, consult on roll-out and planning Critical situation activities include: * Ownership for problems that do not have an obvious owner and provide consulting support during situation * Provide technical leadership on Severity 1 outages to minimize business impact Infrastructure support activities include: * Advising and consenting to changes in the infrastructure, assist with infrastructure upgrades, and support for infrastructure applications * Process support includes support and consulting activities as they apply to major delivery processes * TWM/SME provides technical leadership on customer meetings and discussions Projects: * Will vary, server builds, patching, facilitating application upgrades, cloud remediation
Required Skills
* 7+ years of Linux system admin, RHEL preferred * Scripting skills and experience in a DevOps environment * Prior work with CF Engine or similar tools a plus * Telco Experience / Hosting * Ecommerce / Retail environments
