Job Title:                Peoplesoft Administrator

Responsibilities

  Administers software configuration management (SCM) processes on large
  scale open systems (Windows/Unix) architecture
  Installs, configures and administers SCM tools including the planning
  and execution of product implementation/rollouts
  Implements and manages build server tools
  Educates customer base on Continuous Integration (CI) and Software
  Development Lifecyle best practices.
  Manages and executes software release builds and deployments for Java
  and >Net applications running on WebSphere and IIS Web Servers
  Develops and maintains scripting using ANT, Shell, Perl, batch and
  WSADMIN scripting for Websphere Application Server
  Aligns with ITIL/ ITSM, fosters and supports a process-centric,
  documented environment
  Designs work flow processes
  Provides project management on all SCM tasks and implementations


Daily Tasks Performed

  Completed a 9.2 Upgrade, experience with PeopleTools 8.55, and latest
  release of PUM (PeopleSoft Upgrade Manager)
  Good knowledge of Integration Broker and Application Security
  Provide system administration support for PeopleSoft application
  environment
  Installation, testing and migration of PeopleSoft environment, and
  bundled upgrades/ patch fixes etc.
  Troubleshoot development and production application problems across
  multiple environments and operating platforms
  Own and modify as appropriate PeopleSoft app server and web server
  configurations
  Maintain configuration and automation required for building production
  and staging PeopleSoft environments. Ensure and maintain quality of
  non-production environments.
  Recommend, request, and tune system monitoring.
  Proactively monitor and install patches and upgrades
  Configure software, monitor application
  Applies due-diligence to ensure best practices for PeopleSoft
  application.
  Provide PeopleSoft architect solution wherever gaps or flaw in
  implementation is identified
  Ensures projects, objects affecting the environment are moved through
  SDLC life cycle.

Musts

  BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or
  equivalent work experience
  Broad ability to use personal computer and software applications
  Broad knowledge of application, connectivity, hardware, peripheral
  including printers and scanners, network monitoring tools, and TCP/IP
  protocol
  Broad knowledge of new technology in the Information Technology Field
  Broad knowledge in a variety of PC software programs, remote tools
  Broad knowledge in the areas of SQL, WAN/LAN Telecommunications


Business Experience

  7 years experience in software configuration management (SCM) as an
  administrator

Wants

  Prepares project plan for any major tasks such as applying PeopleSoft
  PIA patches/upgrades etc which affects the environment in coordination
  with teams required sign off on time line and support.
  Plan annual (future growth) capacity requirements of the applications in
  areas such as database size, number of end-users and application
  functionality; work with infrastructure
