We're looking for a Senior Java Developer for DevOps group to be responsible to collaborate with internal stakeholders to define their reporting, monitoring and alerting needs. This position will help us build appropriate reports, monitoring and alert mechanisms and ultimately deliver dashboard visualizations that meet stakeholder specific reporting requirements. It will help us scale and improve the integration, process and technologies as part of Continuous Delivery. This position requires expert programming and scripting skills with a hands-on understanding of low level systems and a mindset for innovation, automation and scale.
Roles and Responsibilities: • Partner with various stakeholders across multiple business units to build and implement reporting and analytic solutions that provide leaders with information necessary to achieve business goals and objectives. • Build data extraction and manipulation solutions and tools from different sources to analyze data sets, assess data integrity, and provide meaningful insights that drive actions / decisions. • Create metrics and report dashboards to support across multiple Management disciplines. • Produce / deliver recurring and non-recurring metrics & reporting products ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery - report creation and distribution, dashboard development and production, ad-hoc data requests, etc. • Work with Cloud Solutions and other internal stakeholders to deploy supporting technologies into Cloud environment. • Responsible for monitoring, logging, alerting, and reporting capabilities of deployment pipelines to achieve Continuous Delivery. • Monitor uptime, stability and performance of our non-production environment and its dependencies.
Required Skills: • 8+ years of strong development experience in Java with knowledge of Object-oriented development, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Java libraries, data structures, collections, Garbage collection, concurrency, thread and Multithreading. • Knowledge of development and build framework such as Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Maven and Struts. • Minimum 2 years of ESB or Web Services experience. • Experience with Service-oriented architecture including SOAP, REST, JSON and/or Thrift. • Experience in using XML, XQuery, XML Schema, XSLT and XPath. • Expertise in one or more of: C/C++, C#, Python, PHP, Ruby, Perl, etc. • Good knowledge of database concepts with working knowledge on SQL and Stored Procedures. • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies • Deploying and maintaining software applications in the Linux environment. • Experience with Apache Tomcat or server side components.
Discretionary • Experience with architecting and delivering end to end enterprise J2EE solutions • Experience building Dashboards, ETL • Knowledge of Sonar, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins or Maven, GIT • Architecture design and modeling skills. • Project Management or Scrum Master • Cloud Technologies
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: • 6+ years of development in Enterprise Java/J2EE environment, preferably in Agile environment. • 3+ years with SOAP/ XML/ Ajax development. • MS in Computer Science or other highly computational engineering or scientific fields. • Must have good communication and ability to work independently.
