Position: AWS Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA

Duration: 12+months

 

Responsibilities : 

Who has experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and security, who also has excellent AWS engineering and Chef automation experience

·         The Cloud Engineer - Security will be joining a renowned information security team with highly-skilled, collaborative practitioners using the latest tools working to bring information security to the next level across our technical and cultural environment.  We recognize that information security is not an end in itself.  It's a service to the consumer and to business, we are building security into everything we do as an organization.

·         In Year 1, the Cloud Engineer - Security will

·         1. Develop Cloud solutions in and around currently employed AWS platforms that align to PCI requirements.

·         2. Regularly interact, consult, and collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, security and compliance, and product teams to focus work on meaningful solutions that directly address requirements while maintaining (to the highest degree possible) current platform function, or addressing issues with suggestions on work-around and functionality/ security trade-offs.

·         Key Activities

·         Configure AWS services to align with PCI requirements (no PCI or security knowledge required). Platforms may include EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3.

·         Develop Python scripts to support secure cloud container work (no container experience/Chef necessary)

·         Develop full-stack JavaScript, including significant interaction with Node.js, to accomplish secure cloud container work.

·         Qualifications

·         Significant enterprise delivery in a software development or DevOps role, including meaningful interactions with AWS, Python, and JavaScript, and database development knowledge.
