#1, Manager, EDI Systems
Job Summary:
The Manager, EDI Systems is responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary technical team focused on the design, development, and implementation of system enhancements to EDI systems, ensuring data integrity throughout application systems, and ensuring that assigned application development tasks are meeting strategic business objectives. The Manager, EDI Systems is also responsible for evaluating, recommending, and implementing proper technical solutions to enhance the business value of assigned operations, establishing and maintaining tactical plans that support the corporate strategic vision, ensuring a common understanding of technical matters is reached across the company, assisting in the implementation of tactical plans and ensuring proper IT controls are established, followed and monitored for quality results.
Job-Specific Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field is required
• At least 5 years experience in analysis and design of complex business systems
• Must have experience and be competent in a mainframe programming environment Must be proficient in LAN, Intermediate Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills required
• Strong background in EDI systems (e.g., claims submission, electronic enrollment) heavily preferred
• Supervisory and project management experience is preferred
#2, Systems Analyst
Job Summary:
The Systems Analyst is responsible for performing analysis of new and existing systems to understand the impact of proposed modifications, including input/output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements. Also, the incumbent is responsible for designing and executing appropriate documentation, testing, debugging and support processes in accordance with departmental policy.
Job-Specific Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field is required.
• At least five years of mainframe programming experience is required in COBOL, MVS utilities, MVS JCL and CICS Command Level programming.
• Minimum of two years mainframe systems analysis experience required.
• At least two years of mainframe programming experience is required in DB2 programming for applications.
• Two years experience using SDLC Methodology and Change Control software required.
• A working familiarity with Easytrieve and/or other computer languages, including ISPF, is preferred.
• Proficiency in LAN, Intermediate Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio is highly preferred.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in Business Writing, Project Management, Time Management and Conflict Resolution and Teamwork concepts and practice.
#3, Network Engineer II
Job Summary:
The Network Engineer II is responsible for planning and leading the installation, configuration, documentation and maintenance of network infrastructure devices and software including network routers, switches, firewalls and gateways ensuring high availability and security. The Network Engineer II is responsible for conducting activities related to Business Recovery including providing network redundancy and performing the semi-annual Business Recovery tests. The Network Engineer II is also responsible for working with outside vendors and other departmental personnel to resolve critical issues, and working with Information Security to respond to and resolve critical network and printer security issues. The Network Engineer II will also provide a level of Telecommunications Systems support when requested.
Job-Specific Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Math, or related field required.
· 4+ years' experience working in a network administration role required.
· CCNA and CCNP certifications required.
· Experience with routing protocols is required.
· Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and ASA firewalls is required.
· Experience with Cisco Nexus and Fiber Channel equipment preferred.
· Demonstrated ability and desire to learn and operate in a multi-operating system server environment.
· Must have strong skills in the use of Microsoft Office productivity software, project tracking, and graphical documentation tools.
· Must have a comprehensive understanding of network protocols and associated applications and troubleshooting skills.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills required.
· Experience with Network Diagnostic troubleshooting and monitoring tools required.
· Experience with Wireshark, Cisco LMS, Cisco ACS, Cisco DCNM, and Solarwinds Orion is preferred.
#4, SAS Administrator
Job Summary:
The SAS Administrator is responsible for working closely with Business/Operational areas to assure that their needs are being met and train business users in established governance, standards and procedures with respect to end user reporting processes. This incumbent is responsible for monitoring the SAS Server for resource utilization and resolve any incidents timely. SAS Administrator supports user querying by providing appropriate application and data information in response to user requests. The Administrator is responsible for translating reporting needs into efficient structured SAS processes. The SAS Administrator maintains the SAS Business Intelligence Server environment and all related tools. The analyst ensures that SAS processes meet stated corporate data standards and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field is required.
· 5+ years of programming and administration experience is required in SAS.
· 3+ years of exposure to relational databases preferably DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server with a concentration on developing SQL queries.
· Exposure to SAS Enterprise Guide client development application and Business Intelligence (BI) server environment.
· Must demonstrate proficiency in Business Writing, Time Management and Conflict Resolution and Teamwork concepts and practice.
· Must also demonstrate ability to readily adapt to new technology and practices in the work environment.
· Must be highly organized with excellent analytical, problem solving, presentation and decision making skills.
· Data warehousing or data modeling experience is preferred.
· Experience in using SAS BI/reporting with Netezza Database appliance is preferred
#5, SQL Database Administrator
Job Summary:
The SQL Database Administrator is responsible for providing technical support for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases, assessment and implementation of new technology and providing solutions in long-term perspective on the relationship of database technology to the business opportunities. The SQL Database Administrator incumbent is responsible for implementing effective DBMS security practices and coordinating issues with Security and Server support teams.
Required Qualifications:
· A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or IT related field is required.
· Must have at least 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL server and associated tools in a mainframe environment.
· Experience and good understanding with, server-client computing and relational database environments.
· Experience in relational database technology, netezza preferred.
· Experience with Stored Procedures and SQL including DDL, DML, or DCL.
· Experience with Microsoft SQL server utilities and tools including Backup Copy, Recovery and performance tuning preferred.
· Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques.
· Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices.
· Exposure to database modeling and design techniques.

At Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, the Applications Security Developer is also an expert Java Web Developer responsible for performing systems and business function analysis in support of the business areas.
Required Qualifications:
