Role: SAP TM Analyst
Duration: 10+ Month Contract
Location: Minneapolis, MN

A Minneapolis area company has an immediate opening for a contract SAP Systems Analyst-TM. This is a key role needed to bring technology solutions to the transportation and logistics needs of the company. You will have the opportunity to be a primary link between the transportation system users, business partners and IT. As an SAP Transportation Management Business Systems Analyst you will identify and help provide solutions for business opportunities, process gaps, system performance issues and enhancement needs. It is a 10+ month contract opportunity.
What will you do?
- Help identify and implement transportation (TMS) needs for the transportation and procurement teams
- Act as the transportation process team's voice with IT in regards to acquisition,implementation, system enhancements, and upgrades.
- Clarify and communicate the business needs and work with the both business and IT leadership team to fulfill resource needs
- Lead the work effort to help prepare business process teams for changes in process and training.
- Create a user forum; provide consistent communication of progress and identification of any gaps.
- Interact with external and internal business partners to define business requirements associated with system utilization and enhancements. Define and execute test scenarios.
- Work with the transportation managers to ensure performance issues are resolved and communicate business impact.
- Application system functionality, corrections for production problems, recommendations for improvement, data correction, data conversion, one- time corrective action and coordination with other IT Support groups for problem resolution.
- Identify process efficiencies, recommend creative uses of software functionality, design, implement solutions and train end-users.
- Work with business to design functional specifications for reporting systems
- Provide insights into master and reference data that drives functionality
Experience Required
- Experience with SAP Transportation Management (TM) 2+years is preferred.
- 10+ years of Application Systems Analyst experience including:
- Utilizing Business Analysis concepts and theories
- Waterfall/Agile methodologies, project management, system testing, and requirement gathering
- Configuration ( does not have to be in TM)
- Implementing, managing and supporting transportation management software
- Experience with applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, Visio and Project
- Experience leading a software development or project team
- Practical work with various modes of transportation.
