Job Title : QA Analyst
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 3-6 months contract
Job Description
The company has a contract opening for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst on their GIT applied technology team. MFS is looking to interview and hire immediately for this role. This person is needed to assist with a ramp up in work load and will be working on the Client Connect program. The team size is about 30 people.
•This person must have experience with the HP ALM tool
•This person must come from a financial services/mutual fund/asset management background
•MFS is moving over to an agile environment currently, so someone who has experience with agile would be preferred but waterfall would be fine too
•This person will not be doing any testing. They will be reviewing/examining the code – so they'll have to be familiar with it (both manual and automated)
•Informatica MDM, SalesForce.com, IBM's ICM, DST's SalesConnect are specific projects that this QA will be working on. So having experience with any would be helpful.
•Understanding functionality/reviewing specs
Required Skills:
•Solid background in QA practices and toolset, ideally experience with HP ALM tool
•Direct experience with user acceptance testing, working with end users to capture requirements, document test cases, facilitate bug write-up/analysis/mitigation and related reporting
•Ideally Awareness/experience in the Distribution space, working knowledge of Sales process and marketing within financial services.
•Experience as part of a team within larger programs or projects, especially related to standing up contemporary applications for Investment Management in support of Distribution, and best if involving a number of integrated applications sharing data via ETL technology
•Dedication, willingness to learn, attention to detail, flexible work schedule
•Work on the complete testing lifecycle including requirements review, test cases creation, test execution and defects reporting
•Convert requirements and user stories into effective test cases based on domain and tools knowledge
•Flexibility to work off hours when required
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Ensure delivery against QA goals and objectives, i.e. meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedules
•Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance measurements against set plan
Desired Skills:
•Background in the Investment Management industry, or capital markets on buy side and/or equity investing
•Direct experience with any of the following would be favorable:

oIBM's ICM
oDST's SalesConnect
