Role: MicroStrategy (Technical Lead)
Location: Radnor,PA
Background:
We are seeking individuals to join our MicroStrategy Team, to participate in all aspects of requirements, data architecture design and development applying appropriate architectural and methodology techniques. The role of the MicroStrategy SME is to lead the MicroStrategy Architecture and Data Warehouse effort, be responsible for understanding and documenting the requirements for the MicroStrategy initiative, assisting with software selection and implementation for MicroStrategy, and establishing governance processes for the MicroStrategy.
Job Description:
Proficient in customization and configuration of MicroStrategy Architecture, MicroStrategy Integrity Manager, Object Manager, Enterprise Manager, Command Manager, etc.
Should be able to do complex design and configurations
Should be able to work independently and lead a small-medium size team
Should be able to mentor and groom junior members of team
Hands-on experience with project setup, schema creation, development of queries, documents and dashboard
Work with the development teams to ensure adoption of MicroStrategy Architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
Work hands on in creation of metrics, attributes, facts, filters, reports, intelligent cube, dashboards, etc.
Participate in providing the high-level estimates in support of business case development
Work hands on in delivering reports and dashboards via both web and Mobile (iPad) platforms
Provide standards, guidelines, processes and expertise to consistently address enterprise MicroStrategy issues such as convergence, standards, and synchronization
Analyze client data and environments and develop appropriate software configurations to meet client requirements
Provide solution architecture guidance, technical and configuration support to implemented Initiate solutions when applicable
Perform analysis and design of MicroStrategy governance process
Define guidelines and policies for MicroStrategy governance process/ MicroStrategy report standardization
Lead MicroStrategy solution design
Ability to consult and educate client on MicroStrategy topics
Actively participate and Support MicroStrategy presales
Qualification:
2-3 Full cycle MicroStrategy project setup, schema creation, development of reports, documents and dashboard
7+ years' experience with MicroStrategy Architecture and report development
6+ years' experience with Data warehousing architectures, techniques, and methodologies; including Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, Slowly Changing Dimensions, and Aggregation Techniques
Proficient in ETL. Must be able to construct and troubleshoot very complex queries. (preferred)
Experience in integrating MicroStrategy with other systems
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Exposure to Insurance domain preferred
