Position - Systems Engineer (Epic)
Location – Madison, WI
Duration – 12-18 Months
Rate - $50/hr C2C
WILL HIRE OFF PHONE AND SKYPE
Systems Engineer with knowledge of Epic & Cerner in particular. Acts independently to discover and document requirements. Works to understand user business problems and devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Works to understand the data that is available to the business processes, and how it is processed through existing systems and for new uses. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives, and authors detailed specifications – including front end screen design and back end logic -- from which the system is built. Has in depth knowledge and demonstrated experience with all phases of applications analysis.
Has worked in Agile development environment and is familiar with partnering closely with development teams to break down large "epics" into stories that can be built in a time-boxed iteration. Has experience writing acceptance criteria into stories as a way to define requirements, and has worked closely with quality assurance and end users to validate the final system meets defined requirements. This role requires experience with EMR interfaces and electronic interoperability standards within HL-7.
