Duration:- 6+ Months

Location:-  Dublin, OH

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Overview:

A Senior WebSphere Administrator with 6-8 years' experience supporting WebSphere Application Server on Unix and Windows operating systems. The candidate must demonstrate solid experience with system administration, change management, user management and software logistics to ensure smooth and efficient operation of WebSphere Application Server environment.

 

Essential Functions:

·         Support middleware technologies like (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss), Web Servers (Apache, IHS, IIS) and BPM

·         Day to day administration of WebSphere Application Server environments including configuration changes, troubleshooting and performance tuning]

·         Monitoring the performance using Wily Interoscope

·         Applying fixes/fixpacks, Upgrades/Migrations based on the need/requirement.

·         Support aggressive deployments from development to pre-production and production WebSphere environments

·         Troubleshooting performance problems considering infrastructure, security, database and other WebSphere interfaces

·         Supporting production environment during non-business hours

·         Technical Support to application developers

·         Documenting all the changes/issues/resolutions

Key Performance Indicators:

·         Ability to support other web administrators

·         Ability to work unassisted

·         Able to troubleshoot problems effectively and seamlessly

·         Ability to proactively address problems to prevent them occurring Project

·         Ability to plan, manage and deliver ad hoc project work on time and as requested

·         Ability to communicate with web administrators, business/end users and other IT personnel to effectively interpret their requirements and then deliver where Web Administration Team is responsible

Qualification:

·         Six to eight years WebSphere Application Server experience

·         Strong expertise performing WebSphere Application Server administration in a cluster environment on Linux, AIX and Windows

·         Proven experience installing, upgrading and supporting WebSphere Application Server with Oracle /DB2 as a backend database and Apache/IHS as frontend webserver in WebSphere Application/Weblogic/Tomcat environments

·         Good understanding of concepts and technologies such as Security, SOA, Messaging, Web services.

·         Must have completed at least 2 upgrades/migrations

·         Experience with wsadmin, jacl, jython, perl, and shell scripting

·         WebSphere Application Server Administration certification is preferred
