Business / Data Analyst
Mode: Phone and then F2F
Location: Cargill in Hopkins, MN (Very Urgent)
Duration: 6 months+.
The key skills will be:
1. Business / Data Analyst experience
2. Business Intelligence Reporting experience (Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects) ** Doesn't have to be a report developer but does need to have strong experience working on BI reporting and Big Data initiatives
3. Agile Scrum experience.
D&BI - SR Business Analyst:
The D&BI SR Business Analyst is a new role in the Data & Business Intelligence team that will be part of an agile scrum team focused on delivering solutions that leverage the Cargill Big Data and advanced analytics platform. The ideal candidate has previous agile project experience as a Business Analyst, has worked with Business Intelligence tools like Business Objects, Tableau, and Power BI and has excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Create, manage, and prioritize backlog with Product Owner in alignment with project vision.
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions with Product Owner, Business SMEs to define and drive out details of user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Groom, or refine the user stories into more detail using screen prototypes, and process flows to uncover detailed design.
- Liaise with developer to ensure understanding of detailed requirements and designs.
- Analyze and interpret data and information to guide solution decisions
- Perform testing and assist with resolution of defects.
- Perform reviews with key stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle to ensure alignment and requirements coverage. This may include, but is not limited to the following activities: design reviews, testing execution, deployment verifications, and customer satisfaction reviews.
- Identify risks and design controls to mitigate or eliminate risks.
- Guide solution options and business partner decision making to minimize the amount of project investment divergence from target architecture
- Create supporting design documentation to ensure sustainment of the solution.
- Support "go live/hypercare" activities, including remedial training (if necessary), solutioning break/fix tasks and miscellaneous trouble-shooting.
- Champion collaboration and enable delivery in an agile team environment
- Engage and influence developers to ensure productivity and solution quality
- Provides training and education to business information lead and super users on the application of complex report solutions.
- Applies a substantial understanding of business analytics to determine best practices, and recommends how to improve current practices.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years working as part of an agile project delivery team.
- 4+years as experience working as a business analyst.
• 2-4 years business intelligence experience working with Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects or Crystal tools.
- 2-4 years of experience working with business intelligence tools (Business Objects, Power BI, and Tableau).
• Past project experience as a data analyst or experience working with data integrations.
- Strong information research, data tracing, and data design skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be successful in ambiguous environments.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience facilitating meetings and/or group discussions.
