Data Scientists for large New York Based Hedge FundA senior analyst to work on a developing and maintaining statistical and quantitative models to help hedge funds to develop and implement new investment strategies. Hedge funds deploy varied strategies to earn active returns for their investors. Hedge funds are open only for accredited investors, who are looking to diversify their portfolio by investing is non-correlated returns. Hence, it's imperative for hedge funds to offer strategies with investment drivers that are unique, persistent and have the potency to generate returns across all market cycles. This is an extremely competitive arena where over time the effectiveness of an investment strategy to generate incremental returns diminishes (like a patented drug transforming into a generic drug). The hedge funds managers are always seeking to explore and develop new investment strategies that can replace the existing strategies and provide a competitive advantage.The Data Scientists will be a part of the TCS Hedge Fund Analytics Team with the mandate to assist the hedge funds in developing new investment strategies. They are expected to have a strong grounding in Statistics, Financial Modeling and Python with working knowledge of global financial markets and instruments. Expected Duties
