Job Description: This is a senior developer position that will assist with the development, support, and maintenance of solutions sponsored by the Office of Administration. These solutions include the following: agency websites (such as www.dss.sc.gov, portal.dss.sc.gov, adopt.dss.sc.gov, andwww.scfamilies.org), the user access request system, asset management, vehicle management, help desk, and agency dashboards.

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Maintain existing software solutions by identifying and correcting software defects
• Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
• Provide training and assistance to users.

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

• Microsoft Visual Studio

Candidate must be able to communicate clearly with the development team, Project staff, and the user community.
