Position: Sr. C# Software Developer
Location: CLEVELAND OHIO
Pay Rate: $50/hour
JOB SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, a Senior Software Developer works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to deliver technology solutions that meet the business needs. Develops, codes, tests, debugs, maintains, modifies and implements complex applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Mentors junior developers and is responsible for application maintenance and production support of one or more applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Generates complex application code that is traceable to technical specifications. Responsible for developing detailed design and code for new applications and/or enhancements to existing applications. Conducts code reviews to ensure peers are adhering to documented coding standards and best practices. Provides production support and performance monitoring of critical production systems. Coordinates with other departments and/or external vendors to resolve critical system production problems and implementation of software release to production. Responsible for providing accurate and timely communication of the status of assignment, job responsibilities, and the resolution of problems to the appropriate parties following established policies and procedures. Participates in team estimation, planning, and daily stand-up meetings. Provides guidance and training to less-experienced team members. Ensure appropriate documentation is created and maintained. Keeps current on new software releases. Participates in user/customer meetings; may lead technical review meetings with team and/or customer as required. Often required to complete additional work outside of normal business hours to ensure system stability and quality. Performs special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent relevant experience. Seven years or more experience in software development. Minimum 5 years of software development in C#. Minimum 3 years development in an n-tier architecture including presentation, business, and data layers. Minimum 3 years of experience with .NET Web Services, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web Forms, .NET Web API, JavaScript and jQuery. Experience with Agile software development. Experience with Configuration and Change Management tools. Experience with code optimization techniques. Experience developing software for large customer base. Experience with WCF.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Advanced knowledge of unit testing and CI frameworks. Advanced knowledge of multiple structured coding languages and distributed systems development techniques. JOB SUMMARY
A Lead Software Quality Analyst, under minimal supervision, works closely with the project teams to test and confirm software solutions for the Mortgage Banking Business. As a consultant to the software teams, identifies the appropriate testing methodology and automation needs. Applies an advanced knowledge of web based software testing. As a subject matter expert, collaborates with business users and employs iterative methodologies to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations. In addition, the Lead Analyst provides oversight and direction of daily work activities of the Software Quality Analyst team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reviews and enhances test scripts that will be used to measure the quality of the core applications. Manages and implements process improvements of all types of application testing as needed. (Example: regression, functional, and integration testing.) Gathers, analyzes and makes recommendations of formal test results in order to discover defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws as well as articulate those findings to the party responsible for resolution. Collaborates with senior management, analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new or enhanced core applications. Remains current on systems/software changes to those core applications in the area of specialization. Ensures that new software integration into company systems meets quality standards. Generates reports with documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, tracking, and implementation recommendations. Communicates risks and suggests alternate solutions to mitigate those risks to project stakeholders and management. Possesses a broad knowledge of the core systems and applications across multiple lines of business and pursues the technical skills necessary to support those applications. Considered an expert at risk assessment/mitigation. Provides test management services for strategic, complex test efforts. Possess a comprehensive knowledge of test process methodologies. Leads test process improvements. Sets strategies and implements solutions of test automation tools. Leads training of other IT resources on test processes and methodologies. Participates in Test Organization staff selection with minimal oversight. Orients, mentors, and assists less experienced staff. Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a computer science, business or finance related field or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum of eight years of experience as a Software Quality Analyst or equivalent experience in an applications development environment. Minimum of six years of working experience with HP UFT/QTP. Minimum of six years of working experience with HP ALM/QC. Experience setting automation framework from scratch. Experience in the mortgage/banking or financial related field preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, and core applications. Ability to design user defined functions and create function libraries. Ability to perform automation using descriptive programming (no record and playback). Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. JOB SUMMARY
An Enterprise Systems Engineer Sr works under minimal supervision ensures the availability, reliability, performance and maintenance of supported server hardware and software. A Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer has in depth knowledge and understanding of supported systems and is a subject matter expert in one or more areas of software systems engineering.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing and maintenance of operating systems software. Possesses a strong understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces and control languages. Evaluates vendor supplied software packages and makes recommendations to IT management. Modifies and/or debugs vendor-supplied utilities and packages. Modifies, installs and prepares technical documentation for system software applications. Diagnoses, isolates and de-bugs software problems and performs problem resolution.
Monitors systems capacity and performance, plans and executes disaster recovery procedures and provides Tier 2 technical support. Works from specifications to assist in developing and modifying operating software programming applications. Performs work that is complex and varied in nature. Defines and discerns key aspects of a problem and develops an integrated solution within a broad technical and business context of significant impact. May provide guidance/training to more junior staff. Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. Formulates and defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer. Responsible for applications dealing with the overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages. Competent to work at the highest technical level on all phases of software systems programming applications. May have responsibility for the evaluation of new and existing software products. May assist other systems programmers to effectively utilize the system's technical software. Provides high level written communications such as white papers, decision documents or research papers. May perform role of lead engineer and coordinate, consolidate and report input and estimates from other project team members. May participate in high profile production issues as part of an Emergency Response Team. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Back Office Products. Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory. Strong knowledge of VMware and virtual technologies.
