Title: Project Manager 2 (Scrum Master)

Location: Boise, ID

Duration: 18 months

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

 

Specific Skills for a ScrumMaster:

• First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM )
• Experience in the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
• Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, scaling agile across multiple teams, handling defects, etc.)
• The ability to distinguish between what "is Scrum" what is "not Scrum"
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills
• Understand the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
• Understand the fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience with IT processes and concepts.
• Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
• Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, etc.

 Technical Skills:

• Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development.
• Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise.
• Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.
• Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team.
• Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics.
• Understand backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task definition.
• Mastery of common Agile/Scrum practices.
• Familiarity with software as a service, service-oriented environments, and improving development practices.
• Understand the software development tools such as Cucumber and Jira,
